PLAY-BY-PLAY DATASET

This play-by-play data set has roughly 45,000 offensive plays from the first half of the 2018 NFL season. Some goals to achieve here are to determine the success of specific plays, to predict the point in time in which the play is run, and also when a team calls a timeout. Each play has a description which includes the general formation of the offense. Based on the other information, e.g. IsTouchdown, IsFirstDown, IsRush, RushDirection, what are the success rates of the plays, and how do we determine which formations/play-types generate more yardage, first-downs and touchdowns? Also, what plays are likely to result in a turnover? Each play has the general formation of the offense. Two-minute warnings, timeouts, and the end of quarters are also indicated.
