The pod
and the room.
Real college's best asset isn't the classroom — it's the eight people you eat lunch with every day and the 200-person dorm floor you argue with at 2 AM. We rebuild both, digitally. Every Forkaia student joins one Guild (an 8-person study pod) and one Cohort Hall (their Studio's full-cohort Discord). Assigned Day 4 of Sprint Zero. Kept for a semester. Most stay for years.
Eight people. One semester.
A Guild is an 8-person peer study pod inside your Studio. Same Studio, same class year, mixed skill levels by design. Meets async in a private Discord channel with a weekly ritual calendar. Students in Guilds gain Forkaia Score 4× faster than solo students — because peer accountability is the single strongest predictor of shipped work.
The Prototype Guild
Ships one prototype per week, critiques on Fridays. Currently running the "eight-week landing page" cycle — every member builds a new landing every Monday.
The Distribution Guild
Focused on organic distribution. Every member runs a personal newsletter or content channel and reports weekly on impressions, follows, and conversion. Public leaderboard.
The Evals Guild
All AI work should be measured. This Guild builds and publishes weekly evals for public models and open-source agents. Every member owns one eval published to the Research Library.
The Deal Room Guild
Simulates a mini-venture partnership. Every week, one member sources a deal, one writes the memo, one presents the pushback. Rotates across all eight over the semester.
The Byline Guild
Publishes a shared editorial calendar and workshops long-form pieces. Currently drafting the "Modern College" longread series jointly for The Dispatch and external publications.
The Chief of Staff Guild
Every member is embedded as async CoS-in-residence for one portfolio company. Weekly ops standup. Publishes the collective "State of Startup Ops" quarterly report.
The Codebase Guild
Pair-programming heavy. Every member ships one merged PR per week to a portfolio-company repo. Weekly code review circle. Public GitHub honor roll.
The Quota Guild
Every member runs their own book of business inside a portfolio company. Public leaderboard of pipeline built, meetings booked, deals closed. Weekly power-hour prospecting.
The full Studio, in one room.
Above the Guild is the Cohort Hall — the private Discord room for your entire Studio, all class years. Around 1,400 students on average. This is where alumni drop in, where PiRs post seminar links, where the Dispatch team announces new issues, and where the hiring signals from Cornerstone Partners show up first.
PiRs drop in weekly.
Every Studio's Practitioners-in-Residence run at least one async office hour per week inside the Cohort Hall. Post a question by Friday, get a response by Sunday.
Employers post here first.
Cornerstone Partners with open roles post them in Cohort Halls before they go public. Alumni get first look, current students get second, then the wider Positions library.
Alumni stay in the room.
Nobody kicks graduates out. Alumni keep read + comment access for life. That's the network: your Studio's Cohort Hall is a permanent, growing Rolodex.
School-wide news filters here first.
Dean's Board reshuffles, new tracks, Commencement dates, endowment milestones — everything lands in Cohort Halls before it hits The Dispatch.
