The short version. Full refund within 14 days. Pro-rated refund after that. Cancel any time from your dashboard or email support@forkaia.com. No questions, no hassle, no retention department.
If you change your mind within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase or annual renewal, you're entitled to a full refund of $588. No questions, no exit-survey, no "let me transfer you to retention."
To request your refund, email support@forkaia.com with the subject line "Refund Request" from the email address on your account. We'll process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
If you cancel after the 14-day window, we issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your annual membership, calculated like this:
Refund = $588 × (days remaining in your term ÷ 365)
Example: if you cancel with 200 days left on a year-long membership, your refund is $588 × (200 / 365) = $322.19.
If you'd prefer, you can keep platform access through the end of your paid term instead of taking the pro-rated refund — just tell us when you cancel.
To keep the policy honest for everyone, a few things sit outside the refund framework:
If a university paid for your membership directly under a partnership agreement, refunds are handled through the university — not directly with you. Contact your university's Forkaia® liaison or email support@forkaia.com and we'll route it.
Auto-renewals get the same 14-day full-refund window. If you forgot to cancel before your annual renewal date and didn't intend to renew, email us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we'll fully refund it — no problem.
These are different actions:
You can do either or both. If you ask for a refund, your account is cancelled too.
If you have a problem with your membership, email us first at support@forkaia.com. We're a small team and we read every message. Filing a chargeback before contacting us slows everything down for both sides and may result in your account being suspended pending resolution.
If you've contacted us and we haven't resolved it in 14 days, you're absolutely entitled to dispute the charge through your card issuer.
